One of the most common arguments for Evolution is the similarity between human and ape DNA. When I was in high school, I was taught that humans and chimps are 99% genetically similar. This figure is constantly revised, and is rather silly given that the chimp genome is actually significantly larger, by as much as up to 12%, than the human genome, meaning there is a maximum similarity of 88%.
But even sillier is the fact that whatever percentage of our genome we share with chimps, we share 50% of it with bananas (1). Does this mean we are closely related to bananas? 99% of the mouse genome can also be found in ours, which might explain my love of cheese, but it doesn't say a lot about our ancestry. The argument from genetics is worth absolutely nothing, and yet it seems to be the best Evolutionists have been able to come up with since 1859.
So, to all you banana-eating cannibals, I have some good news: Evolution is false. It's a silly religion invented to deny accountability to God. Unfortunately, denying one's accountability to God does not erase one's accountability to God, but it does forfeit His gift of grace. Therefore, the wise thing to do is to turn from your sin and accept Him as your savior. Either way, He is Lord.
