Ethics and Morality

What is ethics and morality?

Ethics and morality is all about the way we ought to live, both as Christians, and as human beings. All people, regardless of their religion, are bound to moral laws, the breaking of which is called "sin". At the end of this life, those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will be judged according to all they have done, and punished accordingly. For us, as Christians, that punishment is instead given to Christ, and we receive the reward of His righteousness. This, however, does not give us license to sin. Aside from the fact it is possible to be "barely saved" (1 Corinthians 3:11-16), Scripture also makes it clear that while we are saved by grace, through faith, and not of works, we are actually saved TO good works, which God prepared for us ahead of time. Therefore, even Christians are required, and indeed have a greater responsibility, to make war against our sin and serve God with great joy.
