We've all heard it said that "white" people cannot be the victims of racism because they are dominant. You can be racist against "black" people because they are a minority, but not white people, because they have always been the majority, and historically, have even used that dominance to oppress other races.
But the truth is, racism has nothing to do with who makes up what portion of society, nor does it matter who did what to who at whatever point in time. Racism is all about how you view members of a certain racial group. If you believe X race is inherently superior, Y race is inherently inferior, Z race is inherently evil etc., it doesn't matter how much melanin is in their skin, it doesn't matter what country they can trace their ancestry back to (by the way, we're all descended from Adam and Eve), you are a racist.
If you want me to prove that, first of all, what are you smoking, and second of all, consider that white people are a minority, both globally speaking, and of course in certain countries. If I was to go to South Africa, where white people are a minority, and black people have even been known to kill white farmers because they believe white people have no legitimate right to own South African land, I would still be a racist if I ran around shouting "I hate all you effing N words". Cultural dominance, political power, historical actions, are all irrelevant. The word "slave" comes from the Slavic, white people, who were brutally enslaved long before the trans Atlantic slave trade, and the first legal owner of a permanent slave in America was a black man named Anthony Johnson. Look it all up, tell me there is a single "innocent" race on earth.
The truth is, no race is innocent, because there is only one race: Adam's race. Racism is therefore stupid, as well as immoral. In reality, each and every human being is made in the image of God, and is equally precious in His sight. The trouble is, each of us mars that image through what is called "sin". Every time we think, say, or do things that are dishonorable to God, we earn His wrath.
But beyond all imagination, God looked down upon our pitiful species and decided to become one of us. Why? To save us from the wrath to come! The sins we commit, the punishment we deserve, was levied upon the one man who never committed sin nor deserved punishment. Therefore, though we have sinned and deserve that punishment, we can instead be rewarded as if we'd lived Jesus' life. But there is one condition. We must leave our sins behind, especially racism, and confess Jesus as Lord, believing He rose from the dead. Then, and only then, will our relationship with God be restored.
