Don't you just hate Liberals?

Don't you just hate Liberals? They're so depraved aren't they? What with their crazy ideas and their despicable desires. Not to mention their complete and utter disdain for reality. Aren't they just filthy creatures?

Truth:

So are you!

Liberalism isn't some special state of sin, it's the result of a rejection of God. Liberals are a picture of you. They are what you would be if God's grace hadn't reached you. They may even be a picture of what you still struggle with. They are a void that has refused to be filled by God, and the resulting vacuum has sucked in all kinds of filth and uncleanliness.

All of this means your hatred for Liberals is misdirected. They are not your enemies, they are prisoners of war. They are slaves of the devil who have been conscripted into his doomed militia. Your job isn't to defeat them, but to share with them the freedom that you know in Christ.

Look at the radical Left. How can you not pity them? Miserable in this life, and, barring repentance, miserable in the next. What good does hatred do you? After 70trillion years in Heaven, will you say to God "this place is great, but eons ago, a crazy man put on a dress and demanded to be called Caitlin"? You won't remember that. You won't care. But the residents of Hell will never forget the shame of what put them there.

God didn't leave us in the world to cry about the fact it's no better than it was the day He saved us. The reason we aren't raptured the day we're saved is because we have a job to do. Think about how you got saved. Where were you before? Probably somewhere Christians hated you for. But there was at least one Christian who loved you enough to give you the Gospel. Do not be a hypocrite, like the hateful Christians who, in their pride, forget where they came from. Love unbelievers, of all ideologies, enough to invite them on a lifelong journey to perfection. They're not perfect. You're not perfect. You weren't perfect. They won't be perfect. Yet. But when all is said and done, God is love, and He shows His love for us in this way: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. So let's bring them on board.
