Even demons believe in God

The only other creatures God blessed with higher reasoning abilities are unfortunately better at using them than we are. Demons, while they certainly love to fool people into believing there is no God, are fully aware in their own minds that God definitely exists.
And for us, that is a problem. It shows that true, saving faith is more than mere intellectual assent. A demon knows God exists. When you say "I believe in God", you are on par with Satan himself. The question is, what does that mean to you?
A demon shows his faith by trembling. He knows he's damned to Hell, it's just a question of how long will it be before God puts him there. So they shudder. When Jesus walked the Earth, some of them even approached Him and asked what business He had there, asking if He was there to torment them before the appointed time. They don't just profess their faith, they show it.
As Christians, our faith also needs to be backed by actions. By trembling? Probably not. Perfect love casts out fear, after all, and so the more we love God, the less we ought to fear Him. But we also know He is Holy. We even know that while we can trust Him, He is certainly capable of punishing us, and quite within His rights to do so. Yet we know He loves us so much that He paid the penalty Himself. Knowing who God is, everything from His Holiness to His mercy to His love to His grace, should our faith not absolutely force us to obey? We eat when we're hungry, we drink when we're thirsty, we're kind to those we love, why would we not act like Christians if, indeed, we are?
