God kills the guilty, man kills the innocent

One of the most, if not the most despicable atrocities in our time is the increasing access to abortion. For well over a century, hypocritical doctors have entered the wombs of mothers and ripped apart their living children. And this hasn't been a rare occurrence. In our world today, thousands of men and women are campaigning for this practice to become an absolute right, even funded by the government itself. [Update: At least in the U.S., abortion was even considered an "essential service" during Covid-19 lockdowns].

In the Old Testament, there are examples of similar things. Abortion isn't radically different from the practice of burning children alive for Baal or Molech. God's response to these atrocities was to allow a period of grace before finally wiping these people from the face of the Earth. Richard Dawkins is especially well known for his complaints against God for His fiercest judgements, yet he unashamedly supports abortion.

It is sheer hypocrisy to oppose God for killing evil people, whom He has the right to kill, while demanding the legal right to kill innocent people, whom we don't. Ultimately, however, this is irrelevant. We can point the finger at God all we want, it won't save us from the day God will judge us. Every silent scream, every broken bone and every drop of blood must be accounted for. If God's judgements against Molech worshippers tell us anything, it's not that God is evil, it's that He's just. Murderers like Richard Dawkins may live their entire lives in defiance of God, but their time on Earth will likely not exceed 120 years. When their last breath leaves their bodies, the same God who extinguished the Amalekites will be waiting for them on the other side. The choice, while abortionists live, is theirs: repent and live, or refuse and die.
