God's pen vs. Satan's sword

There is much truth to the phrase "the pen is mightier than the sword". In fact, so much truth, the Lord Himself uses a similar analogy: The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It proceeds to explain what exactly that means. It pierces even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This one little verse emphasises just how powerful that book you hold in your hand really is. By studying it, you can not only learn a lot of important things about humanity, but also how to apply it in order to bring as many of them into the Kingdom as possible.

It goes without saying, but we as Christians ought to treat our Bible with respect. You don't mess around with a sword, why would you mess around with the Bible? It is a very powerful spiritual weapon, useful for doing all kinds of damage to Satan's forces. Hold it close, treat it well, and it will respond in kind.
