Anti-Trinitarian heretics like to claim that Jesus' prayers to the Father prove that He is not, Himself, divine. This displays blatant ignorance of what the Trinity is. The doctrine of the Trinity does not deny Jesus' humanity. Far from it, it is an essential Christian doctrine that Jesus was fully human and fully God.

In reality, it seems obvious that the Son, who has an eternal relationship with the rest of the Trinity, would maintain contact with the Father during His life on Earth. And how else would the perfect man maintain that contact? Obviously, through prayer! Jesus' prayers don't disprove that He is divine. They prove that Jesus remained the Son of God, and wasn't going to sin by ignoring Him.
