Judge the things that stain us

It is both amazing and devastating how many Christians today do not understand the basics of their own religion. We often hear about how the Bible says "judge not lest ye be judged", and how it's really all about helping the poor and being a good person. But find me just one Bible verse that says that. The catch: It must be in context.
See, you can make the Bible say anything you want. And if you don't study it, anyone else can make it say whatever they want to you. But the truth is, Christianity was never a "simple" faith. Don't get me wrong, it is a faith for the simple. But if it really was a simple religion, it wouldn't take a collection of 66 books to tell us about it.
Those who say the Bible says "don't judge", first of all, tend to be the most judgemental people you will ever meet, but more importantly are usually doing it because they have heard you condemn a sin they approve of. If you oppose abortion, "don't judge." If you oppose gay "marriage", "don't judge". If you affirm basic biology, "don't judge". The culture is becoming increasingly more Godless, and the Liberal Christian mantra is "don't judge".
And why can't we judge? Because we're supposed to love them, of course. We're supposed to speak out for the poor and oppressed, right? Yes, but there's more to it than that. James says it best: "Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
Those last few words are not something Liberal Christians want to read. Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is to keep oneself unstained by the world. This single statement encompasses all the sins Christians are constantly told by the uninformed, the heretic, and the heathen that we must not judge. Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, transgenderism, abortion, these are all sins the world commits on a regular basis, and we can judge them. Not only can we judge them, we must judge them, because how can you keep yourself unstained from that which you do not judge as staining?
Fact: You do not even have to judge a person to judge a sin. The reason so many people feel judged when a Christian opposes sin is because they are judging themselves. They know they are doing wrong, but they don't want to know. They want the sin, they don't want the guilt.
But this is why it is loving to call a spade a spade. See, sin does make one guilty, whether we want it to or not. But as any true Christian will know, God judges sin, and there are only two possible outcomes. Either the sinner is punished eternally, or the Son was punished on the cross. Tell me, if you love someone, would you not prefer the latter option? "Hey friend, I happen to know how you can get into Heaven!" "Don't judge me!" "Ok, I'm cool with you going to Hell instead." I would be no kind of friend to you if I did that. As the saying goes, "I would rather offend you into Heaven than flatter you into Hell."
