Note: The following article was written during the presidency of Donald Trump. While Trump is no longer in office, I have decided to use minimal editing. Exceptions will be noted with [brackets].
Whether you agree or disagree with Donald Trump's claim that MS-13 gang members are animals, one thing is for sure: Nancy Pelosi has absolutely no right to criticise him.
Although Pelosi is right in saying all of us have some divinity (2 Timothy 3:5), she is among those whom that very same passage says deny its power. It's no secret that the Democratic Party is the most Godless of all the parties. Observe what Paul says of those who have a form of godliness, but deny its power:
- lovers of themselves
- lovers of money
- boasters
- proud
- blasphemers
- disobedient to parents
- unthankful
- unholy
- unloving
- unforgiving
- slanderers
- without self-control
- brutal
- despisers of good
- traitors
- headstrong
- haughty
- lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
How many of those do not describe the very party Pelosi belongs to? How many of these attributes do not apply to Pelosi herself? Let's have a look at a few of the attributes listed in 2 Timothy 3:
- Lovers of money.
For people who often cackle about the rich "paying their fair share", [leading] Democrats sure seem to have a lot of money, and know how to avoid getting it taxed. Bernie Sanders has a second house. Pelosi herself isn't exactly living on beans on toast... Michael Moore once complained about how little he was paying in taxes, while of course not donating the extra money he thinks he should be paying to anyone or anything. On the other end of the spectrum are those who have been conned by these rich Democrats. People who expect the government (or, more accurately, the tax payer) to pay for all their stuff. They buy expensive luxuries like flashy, branded clothing and high-tech gadgets like iphones, and on top of that they want free college, free health care and free birth control (more on that later). Safe to say the Democratic Party is full of money lovers, and even money launderers.
- Unthankful
While Democrats often whine about the 1%, they don't seem to realise that globally speaking, they are the 1%. If you're reading this, the chances are, so are you. There are places in this world where this kind of technology would seem almost magical. Others would consider it significantly outside of their price range. Economically speaking, if you are debt free and have £10 in your pocket, you are significantly better off than most of the world. And that's just money we're talking. A lot of the planet is gripped in war, ruled by [more aggressive] tyrants, ecologically ravaged, polluted, under-policed, all this and more covers the Earth. Americans don't know how good they've got it even compared to Europe. Sure, there are several disadvantages, but there is so much about America that makes it significantly better for its 300million citizens than almost anywhere else on the Earth. But because Donald Trump actually wants to make people work for a living, somehow Canada is a better option?
- Unloving
While Democrats like to pretend their policies are supposed to be compassionate, it's obvious that the only love that comes from that party is for themselves. Families have been destroyed, and America has become divided and riddled with violence, all because the Democratic Party is finally losing its grip on America. Love? Not if you're not a Democrat.
- Unforgiving
When Kim Davis refused to sign a "marriage" license for two dudes, Democrats were quick to point out that she isn't innocent. And of course she's not. Aside from obviously being human, she didn't convert until long after some of her more immoral actions. But apparently, changing your ways is hypocritical. Less specifically, Democrats just can't get over America's more regrettable history regarding racism. Not a single American alive ever was a slave or ever owned a slave (at least not legally, they kind of fought a civil war to end it...). Jim Crow laws? As Candace Owens recently pointed out, relatively few people (and even fewer active Democrats) alive today lived through. Not to mention, these laws were enforced by Democrats themselves... But we can ignore that fact. Bottom line is, if you can't "forgive" a white person for something [they didn't even do] you can be described as unforgiving.
- Slanderers
This entire [article] exists because Pelosi hopped on a slanderous bandwagon. Her initial comments were a response to Donald Trump supposedly calling all illegal immigrants animals. This is as slanderous as every other attack Pelosi has made against Trump in an attempt to impeach him.
- Without self control
The so-called "sexual revolution" is proof positive that Democrats lack self control. For a party that often claims "what I do in my bedroom is none of your business", they certainly do put a lot of effort into making everyone subsidise their sex lives. Hobby Lobby even got themselves into a lawsuit because they refused to pay for a very specific type of birth control pill for their employees (while other birth control methods which do not kill babies were covered). And let's just not mention the fact that abortion is also legal, and Planned Parenthood is tax funded.
- Brutal
So let's talk about Planned Parenthood for a moment. While the Left is currently defending MS-13 against being called animals for brutal murder and rape, most of them admit that this behaviour is unacceptable. But dismembering a baby? You're a misogynist if you think that's wrong! It's absolutely essential that the government fund a practice that's so unholy, showing a pro-abortionist what actually happens during an abortion can immediately make them pro-life. If it can't be described as brutal to remove a child's limbs, then crush its skull before sucking what remains through a hoover, there is nothing that the Democrats can be moved by. Except a MAGA hat. Apparently, that's worse than gassing the Jews...
- Despisers of good
So let's talk about those Jews! It's awful that they're back where they came from, right? Like seriously, how dare they return to the very land they were given by God, declare independence, defend themselves from constant terror attacks and insist that Jerusalem is their capital city? You might certainly believe this is bad if you're a Democrat, but the truth is, it's great that Israel has re-gained sovereignty, it's excellent that they're defending their borders, and it's positively amazing that Donald Trump has been the first president to actually follow through on his promise to move the American Embassy to Jerusalem, the true capital of Israel.
- Traitors
Not content to hate Israel, Democrats spend a significantly long time destroying their own country. Setting aside the fact that every major problem area, such as Chicago, Flint and Detroit, are all run by Democrats, it's worth noting that America has a Constitution. The Constitution is a legal document that dictates what the government can and can't do. Yet there is a saying that the only amendment the Democrats care about is the fifth (the one that prevents a defendant from being a witness against themselves in a court case). How true is that? Hate speech laws, gun control, violation of due process, all of these things are strongly supported by Democrats, yet every single one of these is unconstitutional. You cannot get more traitorous than to hold an American political office and oppose the constitution, yet Democrats like Pelosi do just that, and her supporters stand behind her in all of it.
- Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
I think we pretty much covered this when we covered a lack of self control, but I thought it's worth bringing it up again, since this is the final attribute before Paul says these people have a form of godliness, yet deny its power.
Nancy Pelosi is a Democrat, and is the flesh embodiment of everything that party stands for. This includes all the atrocities mentioned above (as well as the others, which I skipped over), which ultimately means Pelosi can definitely be described as wicked. Therefore, God says to her "what right have you to declare my statutes?" Whenever a Democrat cites God as a defence, they are effectively blaspheming Him (another ungodly attribute listed in 2 Timothy 3). This would be like if Hitler spoke against genocide! Sure, he would be correct, but what position is he in to speak against such horrors?
In this rare instance, Nancy Pelosi actually made a little bit of sense. She is correct in that all human beings are God's children (Acts 17:28), and we therefore have some divinity (2 Timothy 3:5). But by both her words and her deeds, she disgraces God on a regular basis. As a result, she is in no position to speak out in His favour. Though she is a child of God in that she would not have life were it not gifted to her by Him, she is not His child in the sense of her having been born of the Spirit.
The good news for her is that God went to great lengths to give her the right to become His child (John 1:12-13). If she repents of her sin and confesses Jesus as Lord, she will be saved. If not, tragically, she will face His wrath upon her death. Let us pray, for her sake, that she never has to face such a horrible fate.
