A very popular meme that came out of Avengers: Infinity War is Dr. Strange's vision of 14,000,605 possible scenarios, and he declares that of those scenarios, in only one of them do the Avengers defeat Thanos. One amazing thing about God is that He even puts this ability to shame. 14million possible scenarios is nothing. God knows everything.
This actually helps us to answer a very common question. Of all the possible worlds God could have created, He chose this one, even knowing what would happen. Even knowing that some people would ultimately go to Hell, God chose to create them. Why?
There are a few possibilities our tiny human minds could entertain. The first is simply that maybe God doesn't actually exist. Maybe the atheists are right, and at some point, thousands of years ago, mankind just made up this character called God, for motives known only to themselves. But if you're following this ministry, you're probably aware there's too much evidence against that.
The second possibility is that God is not quite as loving as we imagine Him to be. Maybe He can create alternatives, but for whatever reason He just doesn't care enough to do so. Of course, this is where faith comes into play. For all we know, God could be a sick sadist who created us just to watch us suffer. Maybe He even deluded us into believing Christianity so He can laugh when we all go to Hell regardless. So we just have to have faith here that God isn't some cosmological schemer. Thankfully, He has given us no reason to doubt His word.
But maybe He's just not strong enough. Maybe, when He says "nothing is impossible for God", He's just using hyperbole. This is actually the closest thing to the truth. It's not that God is somehow too weak to do something, but rather, there are things the Bible says God cannot do. Chief among these is God cannot deny Himself. That is, God is His own limit. He is 100% sovereign over His creation, however not even He can do incoherent things, such as create a round square, or a married bachelor, or a free willed being that must accept Him no matter what.
As you can probably imagine, that last example was deliberate. We may ask why God created this particular reality instead of one in which everybody is saved, but what if that is literally impossible? What if, of all the possible scenarios God knows, this is the one where the least people are lost, and the most are saved? Or maybe in another reality, more people could have been saved, but the depth of that salvation would have been diminished? I guarantee you, there are scenarios none of us can think of, much less ask why God didn't choose that one instead.
Ultimately, if God is as the Bible says He is, we can be sure that 1. He is omnipotent, 2. He is omniscient, 3. He is omnibenevolent, and therefore 4. this reality is by far the best possible.
