It's relatively easy to preach to those we see as "good people". These people aren't really sinners in our eyes. "Yeah, this person here, he doesn't really deserve Hell, so I'll try to give him the Gospel to get him out of it. But you know, I don't really like that guy over there. He's a real jerk. A monster even. He supports abortion, he abuses his girlfriend, he cusses people out for no good reason. I hate him. So you know what? I don't even think Jesus can save him."
I want to make this point very clear: you don't have that right. You do not get to decide who you want to give the Gospel to. You don't get to decide who's nice enough that Jesus might actually love them, and who's too bad of a sinner and you actually hope they go to Hell. My brethren, we should look at murderers, rapists, pedophiles etc. and think "Jesus loves that person, therefore I ought to as well".
I remember a while ago, an ISIS militant met Jesus. As a Muslim, he killed Christians, and admitted he actually enjoyed it. Yet he got saved. Having met Jesus, he repented of his atrocities, and is now a Christian. So I posted about it, rejoicing about his salvation. One person replied "this is disgusting". For clarification, this was an atheist, not a Christian. But how many Christians would feel the same way? This guy beheaded people. Isn't that too evil for Jesus to forgive?
Listen, my brethren: our Bible was written by people like that. How many Bible authors had blood on their hands? Moses killed an Egyptian. Joshua was a war hero. Paul? He killed Christians too. The first Christian martyr, Stephen, died while Paul stood approvingly and watched. Paul was saved on his way to kill more. Yet what does he tell Timothy? "For this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life."
So Paul was a pattern. Jesus specifically saved Paul to show that there are absolutely no sinners Jesus cannot save. Even the chief of sinners, with their hands dripping with blood, can be washed in the blood of the Lamb. Because salvation is not a matter of how good or bad you are. There is no sin limit. Jesus doesn't see like we do. To Him, guilty is guilty. Big sin, little sin, sin. Thus, if His mercy can extend to the liar, it can extend to the thief. If to the thief, to the adulterer. If to the adulterer, to the brawler. If to the brawler, to the rapist. If to the rapist, to the murderer. Are you a sinner in Adam? Then you qualify for salvation in Christ! Just believe.
Therefore, preach, because they can't believe in that which they have not heard. Even if it's someone you don't like, Jesus loves them. Your persecutor can become your ally. Your enemy can become your brother. Let not hate hinder the Kingdom. Rather, fill it with sinners, saved by the God who hung upon a cross and walked out of His tomb.
