Proving the global flood with 1 verse and a science experiment

A little science experiment for you. Place a mug in a sink directly underneath the tap. In the middle of the mug, place an object tall enough to reach out of the mug. Maybe a pencil or a spoon. Turn the tap on and see how long it takes the water to reach above the tall object.

The more observant among you will notice that the water never reaches the top of the object. Instead, when it reaches the top of the mug, it flows over the top and goes down the drain. This is because water both takes the shape of its container and seeks its own level. Now consider this: The Bible says the waters of Noah's flood covered the mountains (and of course, Noah's ark eventually settled on one). How is this possible? Simple: Those who say the flood of Noah's day was only local are flat out wrong. The flood was absolutely, 100%, indisputably, a global event.

Of course, you shouldn't need me to tell you that. It's right there in Genesis, and it's very hard to miss. Even if you ignore the multiple references to the flood in the rest of the Bible, the account itself can be found within the first 8 pages of most Bibles. So let's be honest, the only reason for the modern compromise on the flood is capitulation to the atheists. They have their narrative, they claim their narrative is factual and disagreement is irrational, and so many Christians are motivated to compromise.

But my brethren, this is both foolish and sinful. It is foolish because, aside from being a denial of an obvious truth in order to compromise with a blatant lie, it also doesn't work. Atheists who see Christians rejecting the Bible in favour of a more atheist-friendly narrative don't convert, they look at us and think "well, they don't believe their own Bible, why should we? Let's help them abandon the whole thing". I've even had some atheists mock me because of flood compromisers. It is sinful because it is changing God's word, and also calling Him a liar. It is denial akin to Peter's: Shameful, cowardly, and in desperate need of God's grace.

So what's the point? All this compromise does is rebel against the clear teachings of God's word in order to have atheists blaspheme the faith all the more. There are no pros and all cons to the compromise. This compromise, this lie, needs to be cast out with immediate effect. May it return to the devil who first whispered it into the ear of a Christian, never again to return to the earth. Do not be fooled, my brethren. When God speaks, God is to be believed. When He's not? Do not assume the straw with which you build upon His foundation will survive the holy fire of judgement day (1 Corinthians 3:9-15).
