This article was originally written for Question Evolution Day 2020.
In the previous Question Evolution Day article, I explained how natural selection destroys Evolution because transitional forms would be unfit, and therefore would be naturally selected against. I specifically examined why it would be impossible for the human heart to evolve gradually, as any transitional form between the human heart and their supposedly heartless ancestors, and even the different heart structures our closer ancestors supposedly had, would be unfit.
But there is one thing that makes things so much worse. Most of the examples we could cite focus on only one organism, regardless of gender. But there are some features that are gender specific. A male may be able to survive on his own, but as far as Evolution is concerned, he is useless without a female. Similarly, even the fittest of females is useless to Evolution without a male.
But of course, even together, a male and female would be useless to Evolution if their complementary parts did not work, either alone or together. If the whole male "worked", he would still be useless if the female didn't. If the female "works", she, too, would be useless if the male didn't. Even if both genders "work", they must be compatible.
If you breed a lion with a tiger, you get a liger.
If you breed a zebra with a donkey, you get a zonkey.
If you breed a false killer whale with a bottlenose dolphin, you get a wholphin.
If you breed a man with a chimp, you get arrested.
See, the previous three examples are all examples of animals that are descended from an original pair (possibly group, we don't know if God created two of each animal at first) were originally designed to breed together. They are the same kind, and thus even though the individual species have diversified significantly since Noah's flood, there's still a chance they will be sexually compatible. By contrast, though two chimps are designed to reproduce together, as are two people, they are not the same kind, and therefore, any sick-minded attempt to breed them together will inevitably fail.
But this failure won't kill a species, it will just prevent one from coming into existence (and thank God, because I don't think anyone would want to see what that would look like). But now I want you to imagine the same problem occurred within a newly evolving kind. The male is good to go, the female is good to go, but they are not good to go with each other. Well now Evolution is stuck. Not even the fittest may go on evolving.
It is already extremely unlikely for Evolution to happen with gender neutral features. In fact, it is impossible. Completely and utterly impossible. But when you add gender specific features into the mix, things get even worse. It is far more likely that, as the Bible says, God created them male and female from the beginning of creation.
