Anyone who knows anything about Evolution knows that the stories are constantly changing. Whether they change simple lineages, alter time frames, revise old mechanisms, or invent new ones, Evolutionists cannot keep a consistent story.
This, they claim, is a strength. Science, after all, is self correcting. Our beliefs change when new evidence comes to light. By the same token, since Creationism is quite rigid, it is claimed that it is also anti-intellectual. But does this make any sense at all?
The first thing to consider is that Evolution is not the only pseudo-scientific idea in the world. There are many other pseudo-scientific ideas which, naturally, adapt to new evidence. The mere fact that they change does not make them valid. They are wrong, and their adherents are committed to that wrong answer. In fact, the irony is, this is what Evolutionists will say about Creationists. Creationists do change our models, we just don't change our history.
And that really is the crux of the issue. Origins is a matter of history. As much as Evolutionists insist "no no, it's science", it is a matter of history. But you can't change the past. The past happened, and it happened exactly how it happened, and it can never happen a different way, because it has already happened the way it did. This means it is 100% acceptable to believe a rigid history. If God created the heavens and the Earth roughly 6,000 years ago, it doesn't matter that it's a rigid history not subject to change, for the same reason it doesn't matter that, for example, Darwin's death in 1882 is rigid, and not subject to change. No amount of supposed evidence should convince you that Darwin was actually born in 1882.
You cannot change the past, which means every time Evolutionists change their narrative, they are proving their previous narrative was wrong, and continue to add to their unreliability. It also means that when Christians stick to our story, that's not a weakness, that's a strength. Either God did create the heavens and the earth in the manner Genesis says, or He did not. Either there was a global flood, or there was not. Either the nations did split off from the Tower of Babel, or they did not. To change the story isn't a strength, but a weakness. To stick to the story isn't a weakness, but a strength.
Ultimately, Evolutionists so consistently change their stories because their stories are so consistently wrong. Christians don't change our stories because even if you ignore the divine inspiration element of our scriptures (which you have no real reason to do), these stories are historical facts, which were very often recorded by eyewitnesses. Chief among these stories is the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. This either happened, or it did not. And it did. Now, I don't know about you, but when a man walks out of His tomb 3 days after His brutal murder, I tend to think there's something special about Him. His word is probably worth listening to, not only about the beginning, but also about the end.
This is where you can change things. You can change your own story. When Jesus rose from the dead, it wasn't merely to make you believe Genesis, but to make you believe in His saving power. If you believe Jesus rose from the dead, and confess Him as Lord, He will raise you, too.
