Socialism is gaining a lot of popularity in today's world. Those who will not work expect to be provided for by those who do. It is seen as greedy to want to keep what you've worked for, and compassionate to "tax" the rich in order to pay for absurd amounts of things (and we're not even talking about just basic needs here, but luxuries as well). The greed of Western society is at an all time high, and yet the most precious thing any human being can ever hope to obtain is being offered completely free, but there don't seem to be a lot of takers.
This is absurd! What could be more precious than eternal life? You'll vote for a dictator hoping the welfare state will buy you a pack of condoms so you can go out and recklessly sleep around, but when Jesus literally gives His life to buy you a place in His eternal kingdom, you reject it as if someone's just offered you a free sample of skunk spray? You'll use a food stamp on a bottle of booze, but you refuse to even acknowledge the existence of God? You want free healthcare knowing full well your body will eventually die anyway, but when God promises you will never perish if you only worship Him, you just jump right into Hell? Where's the logic? It would be wiser to use a winning lottery ticket to wipe your butt!
