Why I have more faith in Covid than in God (short version)

In many ways, my faith in covid is a blind one. I haven't seen it, nor could I be reasonably expected to. I haven't been directly affected by it. I've known two people directly affected by a disease identified as Covid, but neither of them experienced severe or lasting symptoms. I'm not saying I don't believe in Covid, or that I have good reason not to, but the belief I do have in Covid is not backed by any solid evidence. If I met someone who believed Covid-19 is imaginary, I could not provide them with a sensible argument to the contrary.

I may never have personally seen God, nor do I have reason to expect I will on this side of the grave. Nevertheless, my faith is not blind. I have been directly affected by Him, as have many people I know. My belief is backed by a great deal of evidence, both for believing that a god exists, and that He is the Lord God described in the Christian Scriptures. Not only can I provide sensible arguments to unbelievers, but I do so on a regular basis, and have done for more than 10 years.

I firmly disagree with the stupid redefinition of faith as "belief without evidence", but with with all of the above in mind, I can safely say that I have more blind faith in Covid-19 than I will ever have in God. Yet, your average atheist, having access to roughly the same amount of evidence, will mock God all day long, in ways that, if he mocked Covid-19, would soon earn him the wrath of the Big Tech oligarchs. People have been deplatformed, and even unpersoned, for reasonably questioning the official Covid-19 narrative. Now, I am absolutely not saying we should censor atheists instead. What I am saying is it's very telling that this is the situation we're in. Setting aside the fact people often prefer force to reason, why is it atheists have such a flippant attitude to God, who can literally save their eternal soul, yet a bug with such a ridiculously high survival rate is treated like a sacred cow? If atheists so value their lives on the earth that they are willing to go full zombie for the CDC and the WHO, why do they not so value their eternity that they are willing to sit down and honestly consider the arguments for Christianity?
