Why rejecting Darwin doesn't save Evolution

A somewhat unique feature of Evolution is that while most Theistic religions maintain respect for their prophets, which usually results in codifying the religion, Evolution instead presents itself as a scientific theory. Science, being an observational study of the natural world, does not respect people. People, of course, can be wrong, or even just half right. Therefore, although Darwin is credited as having "discovered" Evolution (though it turns out he was so much of a plagiarist that he can't even be credited with making it up), he is almost irrelevant when it comes to whether or not the religion is true. You can quote Darwin to any number of Evolutionists, and they will respond as if you'd just tried to refute gravity by pointing to an error in Newton's calculations. Newton, of course, was right about the existence of gravity, yet he didn't have everything right about it, and we've corrected a few of his errors as time has gone on. Evolutionists argue that the same is true for Darwin and Evolution.

Of course, there is some truth to this. If Evolution really was a scientific theory (it's not), it would make sense that Darwin and his ilk would have got some things wrong, yet the theory itself would survive and become more robust over time. However, I want you to imagine a scenario in which Isaac Newton theorised that we must be living in the Star Wars universe. Based on this, he claims "if my theory be true, there should be innumerable Midi-chlorians inside our cells."

In the Star Wars universe, Midi-chlorians are tiny organisms living inside the cells of other living organisms, connecting them to an energy field called "The Force". Most living beings are effectively oblivious to this, but some beings have a higher concentration of Midi-chlorians, allowing them to sense, connect with, and even utilise The Force for various things, up to and including telekinesis. So, maybe, the Earth itself is a Force sensitive living organism, so that's why we are affected by a force called gravity. It's not a natural phenomenon, it's just that the Earth uses its Force powers to bring us back down.

Obviously, this theory sounds very stupid (although given the choice between believing that or Evolution, it seems like the obvious choice). But let's roll with this hypothetical. Newton's prediction that there would be innumerable Midi-chlorians in our cells if his theory were true is a vital part of testing his theory. It would be illogical to later come along and say "well, we never found Newton's Midi-chlorians, but he just didn't know what we know now. The Earth is still a Force sensitive being." It would be even more illogical to warp his theory beyond recognition and continue using the same name. We don't continue calling the heliocentric model the geocentric model, they're two different theories.

So, clearly, as long as Evolution is still a thing, Darwin will not be totally irrelevant. His predictions, especially, are still important to us today. Indeed, if we take the "men are irrelevant" rule to its extreme, no theory could ever actually be refuted. Evolutionists long after Darwin continued to make predictions that utterly failed. On the rare occasions they succeed, that's touted as a great victory for Evolution, but whenever they fail, that's just proof that we didn't know about as much about Evolution as we thought. Either way, Evolution is always considered true. It is a theory that refutes the evidence.

As much as Evolutionists wish they could get rid of Darwin, at least as far as his failures go, the fact is his own objections to Evolution still apply very strongly to more modern versions of Evolution. The persistent absence of transitional fossils, for example, continues to be a thorn in the side for Evolutionists. Irreducible complexity, likewise, devastates Evolution and simultaneously supports intelligent design. Answers have been attempted, and most Evolutionists will boast that the arguments just don't work, but they still hold strong. Therefore, no amount of dismissing Darwin will save Evolution. Evolution has always been, and remains to this day, a pseudoscientific religion designed to provide an alternative origins narrative to the true historical account presented in Genesis.

The pseudoscientific religion of Evolution is just one more sin human beings commit against God. Unfortunately, the penalty for sin is death. However, because God loves us, He does not desire even the worst of us to receive our due punishment. Therefore, when He created the heavens and the earth, He set in motion a plan to save us. When the time was right, He sent His Son, Jesus, to live as a man, and eventually die on a cross. Because Jesus did not sin, He did not deserve death, and so He was a worthy substitute for us. On the third day following His death, He rose from the dead, granting all who will only confess Him as Lord, and believe in His resurrection, eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
