Worship in spirit, not just in church

Long time followers of this ministry will know that I preach two important messages: Faith without works is dead, and works without faith are fruitless. The two are inseparable. In John 4:23-24, Jesus gives a great example. Speaking to the woman at the well, she asks Him a question: Mountain or temple, where should we worship? Jesus effectively replies with it doesn't matter. Temple, mountain, church, they're all physical places. It's inconceivable that the God who literally created the heavens and the earth could be contained to such a minuscule portion of it.
God is spirit. He has no flesh, no bones, and no set location (save, of course, when the Word became flesh). That means that you can literally worship Him anywhere. It's not just about sitting in your favorite pew or singing lyrics you're probably not paying attention to. When the service is over, you worship Him by having fellowship with your fellow believers. When you leave the church building, you worship Him by not flipping off bad drivers on the way home. When you get home, you worship Him by being gentle with your spouse, by teaching your children, even by tending to the needs of your pets or livestock.
Read His word. Preach it. Meditate on it. Pray to Him. Do good to both those who love you and to those whose very existence you would rather not acknowledge. Obey your superiors, serve your peers and your juniors, show patience even to those who are touching your last nerve. None of those things require most people to ever even attend a church (though this is strongly recommended). The point here is that you're not just a Christian for 3 hours on Sunday. A true worshiper of God seeks to worship Him 24/7, and if we could add an extra hour to an extra day, we would do that, too.
