"Your life isn't valuable, but pretend it is anyway" - Atheism

Human opinion is a terrible way to measure truth. We all have our various opinions, and there is not one single issue on which there is universal agreement. This includes the laws of logic, as Relativism is a tragically common thing. Here's the problem: Atheism inevitably makes humanity the closest thing to divinity our universe has ever known. That means it can never objectively justify things such as morality, dignity, beauty, or meaning.

Now, that's not to say there are no atheistic theories that can explain why people might come to certain beliefs. You might want to believe certain abstract truths, and atheism can produce theories as to why you want them. But that is not the same as justifying those beliefs themselves. You can want something to be true, but that doesn't make it true. I want it to be true that I have $20 trillion in my bank account, but no amount of wanting it will make it true. In the same way, you might want your life to have meaning, and there are several atheistic theories about why you might want that, but atheism cannot prove that your life actually does have meaning.

What this means is that atheism ultimately encourages chasing delusion. It encourages you to literally make up truth claims, then follow them as if they were true. Even then, these same atheists will discourage you if your delusion clashes with their delusion. In the end, it doesn't matter, because here is an objective truth: Death is inevitable. A grand total of 0 people will be on this planet forever. Most of them have already died. We're just what's left, and even that is subject to change in the near future. If atheism is true, those who died chasing their delusions do not remember it now, whether they succeeded in their pursuit or not. Their delusions did not save them, nor did it affect their final outcome. And you, too, will eventually join them among the ranks of the forgotten forgetters.

Ultimately, this makes atheists disproportionately zealous. It makes perfect sense for Theists to preach our worldviews because we believe there is meaning to it. Whether correctly or not, we believe that we are preaching a truth that will drastically alter the course of your eternity. I, as a Christian, believe the Gospel is literally the difference between eternal life, and eternal death. You could go to Heaven or Hell, and there's only one way to guarantee the better option. So of course I'm going to preach. Really, I don't preach enough. But as atheism can only have an eternal impact if it's false, it makes no sense what so ever to preach it.

But if Christianity is true, it makes perfect sense for atheists to preach. Christianity identifies a major problem with humanity: Sin. As descendants of Adam and Eve, we rebel against God, as they did. For some of us, that rebellion extends to denial of His existence. Yet, in His love for us, He provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. Through the death of Jesus, the Son of God, propitiation for sin has been made. Therefore, through confessing Jesus as Lord, and believing in our hearts God raised Him from the dead, we can be saved. this is the true meaning of life.
