God, MacGyver, and you

I've never actually seen an episode of MacGyver, and so for the moment, I'm simply going to copy and paste a summary from Quora user, Blythe England:

"MacGyver collects and uses things that he finds along the way to help him and who ever he is with to escape the current situation. In one situation for example he has been asked to reach and rescue to scientists who are trapped below ground after a bomb blew. After asking some questions he collects some cigarettes before entering the secure damaged lift. He ends up using the cigarettes to view lazar beams (he uses the beams to light the cigarettes). He the breaks his favourite binoculars so he could use the refractor crystal refract the beam back on itself. He uses a ladies shoe he sees to hit a pipe to send a message to other trapped workers before raising a beam with an inflated fire hose. He also collects chocolate bars with the intention to use them to fill in the crack in a leaking chemical tank; he also uses his shirt as a gas mask. He uses a cold and flue capsule with a glass container and some chemicals to make a bomb to blow a hole in the wall and fallen in soil to pack over it."

From this summary, it's clear that MacGyver is an above average individual. He's certainly someone you'd want to come to your rescue when you're in a bind. But MacGyver isn't the only one to use ordinary things for extraordinary purposes. The Lord is also well known for thinking outside the box, not only using sinful men for His own glory, but actually using, of all things, death to grant eternal life! If ever you feel weak, stupid, broken, useless, remember this: You are exactly what God is looking for. His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
