One of the most peculiar things about Evolutionists is their strange ability to make an argument from even the tiniest variations within kinds. There are, of course, the classic examples of the light and dark moths, the blind cave tetras, and Darwin's own example of the variation in finch beaks. I've even had one Evolutionist boast "ah, so you admit that you look different from your father. That's good, you're making progress towards accepting Evolution."
Of course, these arguments are all futile, for reasons that have been hammered to death by Creationists (and even non-Creationists) for almost as long as Evolution has been popular in our culture. It is an absurd leap to say that small variations within kinds somehow prove universal common descent. Nevertheless, Evolutionists continue to make these claims, mainly because it's all they've got. One might say their extraordinary claims lack the extraordinary evidence to back it up. Therefore, they piggyback on things which Creationists believed even before Darwin. It's impossible to prove humans are descended from fish, but it's easy to prove moths are descended from moths, and fairly easy to convince people to make a few giant leaps of faith from there.
It is an indisputable fact that human beings do change over time, just as all species do. As the Evolutionist I mentioned earlier pointed out, yes, I am different from my father. And from his father. And from his father's father. Take that back several generations and you get to a point where my ancestors were so short, they built their doors a little bit smaller.
Here's the problem: There are still people who are shorter than me. In fact, the average height of men changes depending on the country you look at. Are we to say that Americans, whose average height is 5ft 10 inches, are more evolved than people in Yemen, where the average height is 5ft 3 inches?
When you talk about minor variations that are still present within the human race today, what you are actually saying is there are some people who are more evolved than others. People who possess the more "modern" features are further removed from our alleged ape-like ancestors, whereas people who are still short, who still use their wisdom teeth, who are still living in poverty and using more "primitive" technology, etc. are closer to them. It is my hope that I don't need to explain why this is racist. The painful question Evolutionists must ask, therefore, is whether this inherently racist view is correct.
Now of course, I'm not saying "it's racist, therefore it's false". That would be an incredibly stupid argument akin to the common atheist cliché that God is a moral monster, and therefore the Bible is false. Nevertheless, Evolutionists are trapped between a rock and a hard place here, and it is indeed a corner they have painted themselves into.
On the one hand, you have the incredibly obstructive rock that is the absurdity of Evolution. And it is truly absurd. It goes against everything we know about biology, from the law of biogenesis to the very basics of reproduction. Everybody knows, both by instinct and observation, that you can't get a man from a monkey. It is ridiculous to suggest that you can if you just give it a few million years of random mutations and natural selection.
But the hard place is the implications of sticking to such a ridiculous fairy tale. One need only look at Evolution's own history to see just how inherently racist the belief is. Modern Evolutionists may well have given up putting African people in zoos, but the ideology that made such an atrocity possible still persists. Arguments like the ones described in this article really do lead us to the conclusion that some men are less evolved than others.
But the Bible very thoroughly disagrees. In Genesis, we see no height limit set for man, but we do see that God made one human couple, from whom all humans are descended. From this, we see that racism is stupid. We are all equal. We're not descendants of apes, we're all human beings, created in the image of God.
Unfortunately, we have of course marred that image. Racism and Evolution are two great sins, but they are not the only sins. Each and every one of us, from our youth, have been committing treason against God. We've all lied, we've all stolen, we've all done various things which, according to the Holy standard of God, merit death. Yet, in His love, God does not desire this outcome.
What God did instead was sent His Son to be born of a virgin. He lived a fully human life, yet unlike us, He did not sin. There was no hate in His heart, or deceit in His mouth. He never stole anything, never had a lustful thought, never harmed another human being. Yet, when the time came, though being innocent, He died as a guilty man. The guilt He bore as His body hung on a cross was yours. Every sin you've ever committed, He was punished for, and because of that, you can be spared the second death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
