One of many memes that only morons could use

Debating Evolutionists can be extremely difficult. This is not because they have as much evidence as they often claim they have, but because they won't stop claiming they have it long enough to actually attempt to show they have it.

The meme in the top left corner of today's image was shared twice in the same conversation by a classic example of an egotistical Evolutionist. The slogan "Because it's easier to read one book than a bunch of hard ones" implies that Creationists are intellectually lazy at best, and stupid or deceptive at worst. The cartoon image of a woman riding a dinosaur continues the mockery, because in an Evolutionist's mind, you have to be extremely stupid to believe dinosaurs co-existed with man.

But ironically, the more Evolutionists boast about their intelligence, the more they actually reveal their ignorance. The first thing any Christian should be able to pick up on is that the Bible itself is not just one book. Rather, it is a collection of 66 independent documents of various genres. These span from relatively simple cultural sayings, like Proverbs, to highly complex laws, like Leviticus. The Bible, far from being one easy book, is very difficult to read, much less understand (not to mention the fact the most popular version, the KJV, uses archaic language, making it twice as hard). This is probably why Evolutionists, ironically, don't even bother to read it before mocking it like the monkeys they pretend they are.

But of course, what they really mean isn't "Creationists only read one book", but "Creationists don't blindly believe the books we want them to". Ironically, Evolutionists often criticise Creationism as a money making scheme because we also sell books (because apparently, it's only ok to sell books if they are supportive of Evolution). But regardless of the motive for selling these books, the fact is these books do exist, and obviously, Creationists read those, too.

At this moment in time, I am about a quarter of the way through a book called "By Design" by Dr. Jonathan Sarfati. In it, Sarfati gives a number of well-reasoned, scientific arguments in favor of design and against Evolution. Needless to say, I do not regard Jonathan Sarfati as a prophet, nor are his books Scripture. Yet unlike Evolutionists, I consider his book worth my time. So again, it's not about not reading books, it's about not having blind faith in specific books.

This is close to the No True Scotsman fallacy. Evolutionists like this will reject Sarfati's book, claiming it does not fulfill the criteria of the meme because it is not a "hard" book, yet they have defined "hard" (which they have implicitly substituted for "valuable" or "credible") in such a way that only pro-Evolution books can be valid.

The woman riding the dinosaur is also intended to mock Creationists as stupid because Evolutionists have conditioned the culture to be naturally dismissive of the idea that man could possibly have lived with dinosaurs. But is it really that hard to believe? Put it this way: No human being alive today is 65 million years old. No one saw the dinosaurs evolve, no one saw mankind evolve. This isn't just because it didn't happen, but because it would have been too long ago if it did. So is it really that absurd to believe mankind lived alongside very specific reptiles?

All of this mockery exists because a solid argument for Evolution doesn't. Evolutionists prefer to boast of their wisdom and mock their opponents because doing so ensures they never have to deal with a rational argument. They demonstrate the very thing the Bible says about them: Professing themselves to be wise, they become fools.
