A fact that should surprise exactly no one is that Christians believe the Bible. Consistent Christians do not pick and choose. We recognise that if we believe the Bible is the word of God, then what it says goes, and even if we wanted to disagree with it (which I will admit does happen), doing so is futile, and would just make us wrong.
Because we don't pick and choose which parts we believe, that means we also believe the parts people don't want us to believe. This, of course, offends them, and as a result, they often invent delusions of hatred. Sometimes, this is based on what the Bible does say. Yes, the Bible does say homosexuality is wrong. But no, that does not make Christians "homophobic", nor does it mean that when we acknowledge this truth, we automatically hate gay people. We just recognise that God designed sex, and thus has the right to dictate what we can and can't do with it. He said homosexuality is bad, therefore we simply don't have the right to say it is good, or even ok. As Christians, we are in full agreement with God, or at least we try to be.
Other times, it is based on what the Bible doesn't say. Misogyny and racism do not fit the Bible, and yet these are some things unbelievers try to pin on Christianity. Yes, God has determined that women cannot be pastors. Yes, God has said the husband is the head of the wife. No, this is not misogyny, just as it is not misandry to say that the husband must provide for, and if necessary die for the wife. Biblically speaking, while both genders have different roles biologically, in the family, and in the Church, they have equal dignity before God. Serving complementary roles is not the same as one being superior to another, just as the power of flight does not make a bird superior to a fish.
As for racism, this is actually an illogical concept. Biblically speaking, unless you want to believe you can be a different race from your own twin sibling, there is just no such thing as race. We are all descended from two people, and thus are all members of the same race.
None of this is a thing Christians really have a choice to believe. We could agree with the unbelievers, but then we'd both be wrong. This is not a fun position to be in before God. But to agree with God, while sometimes hard, is rewarding.
But obviously, we don't. Not often. In fact, even Christians are sinners. Our relationship with God is held together by His grace, not by our effort. Being Holy, God must deal with sin. He can't just say "I love you, I'll let you off". That would be evil. But He can take the punishment Himself. And He did, in the person of Christ, crucified for the sins we commit. Those who believe will be saved.
