The arbitrary end of poetry

One of many flaws in Theistic Evolution is that it must draw an arbitrary line between Genesis 1-11 and Genesis 12-50. As far as I know, hardly anyone argues Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, are not historical figures. Yet, these men are all from the same book as Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and his family, and the single group of humans who sought to build the Tower of Babel.

Even if you are so bonkers as to believe Abraham is an allegory, you literally cannot be a Christian if you do not believe in Jesus. And yet, in Luke's Gospel, Jesus' genealogy is traced from His step father, Joseph, all the way down to Jacob, "...which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor, Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala, Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech, Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan, Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." Luke 3:34-38.

Seamless. From the very literal Joseph, back to the very literal Patriarchs of Israel, straight to the very literal Adam, who was not the son of a monkey man, but the son of God. Well doesn't that fit nicely with the idea that God made Adam from the dirt and breathed life into his nostrils, just as Genesis says?

Now, given that the genealogies in scripture are so seamless, as is the historical account in Genesis itself, how do Theistic Evolutionists justify adding a seam? It's beyond obvious that Genesis 1-11 are considered allegorical, as opposed to the historical understanding of Genesis 12-50, solely because many modern Christians have been heavily influenced by our modern, Liberal, atheistic culture, including the atheistic creation myth.

By contrast, Creationists can afford to be consistent. We can see Genesis 1-50 as one whole genre: Historical narrative. We don't need to draw arbitrary lines to pretend one man is historical, but his father is a mere metaphor. From beginning to end, Creationists can just let scripture speak, and Theistic Evolutionists need to get off the fence and either join us, or apostatise so we can witness to them like the atheists they may as well join.
